 On this page, you'll find a detailed database of the major pieces of legislation passed by each congress and in each year. By "major legislation", we do not mean just watershed laws such as the Civil Rights Act and Social Security Act; we list and describe almost every significant law that deals with major national issues -- which is hundreds. Note: the Amerifo Legislation Database is currently under construction. We currently have the major laws of the last two full congressional sessions in the database.
