Blair House is the official state guest house for the President of the United States. It is located at 1651–1653 Pennsylvania Avenue NW inWashington, D.C., opposite the Eisenhower Executive Office Building of the White House, off the corner of Lafayette Park. This house has over 9 staff bedrooms, 4 dining halls, 14 guest bedrooms, 35 bathrooms, and several conference rooms. It was bought by the U.S. government in 1942 to serve guests of the president, mostly foreign heads of state but also some domestic guests.
